The car has to be insured, possibly the house and contents but Private Health is way down the list of priorities. Many people think that the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) will cover them for all eventualities but unfortunately it doesn’t:-

The EHIC is for short term visitors to Spain and those temporarily living or working here.
